    🚀 Getting Started

    1. Open the App
      Open StickyNotesBoard.html in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
    2. Create Your First Note
      Click the “Add Note” button at the top to place a new sticky note.
    3. Edit a Note
      Click inside the note’s textarea and start typing. Changes save automatically.
    4. Move Notes
      Click and drag the note anywhere on the board.
    5. Delete a Note
      Click the × button at the top-right of the note.

    🎨 Customizing Notes

    • Background Color → Click the “BG” button and pick a color.
    • Text Color → Click the “Text” button and pick a text color.
    • Font → Select a font from the “Font” dropdown.
    • Changes apply to the next note you create. You can also change an existing note by focusing it and updating the style.

    🗂 Managing Boards

    • Click the bottom-left grid button to open the Boards Panel
    • Create a new board with the “New” button
    • Switch boards by clicking their names
    • Rename/Delete boards with the pencil 🖉 and trash 🗑 icons
    • Each board has its own notes and board style

    🧱 Board Styles

    Use the “Board” dropdown to switch between:

    • No pattern
    • Dots
    • Lines
    • Grid

    This helps you visually organize your notes.

    🧹 Organize Notes

    Click the “Cleanup” button to auto-arrange all notes neatly in a grid.

    🔐 Saving & Loading

    Click the ⚙️ Settings icon to access:

    • Export Active Board → Downloads a JSON file of the current board’s notes
    • Import to Active Board → Replaces current board notes with a file
    • Export All Boards → Backs up all boards/settings
    • Import All Boards → Replaces all data (notes + boards + settings)
    • Clear Active Board → Deletes all notes from current board

    ⚠️ All data is stored in your browser (localStorage). Clear your browser storage = lose your notes unless you exported them!

    📁 File Types

    All exports are .json files. These can only be used by this app, not opened directly.

    🔄 Resetting or Fixing

    If something breaks or acts weird:

    • Try refreshing the page
    • Open developer tools → localStorage → clear the stickyBoardsAppData_v3 key
    • Or re-import your saved .json

    2. Choose a Font

    3. Style the Text

    Check options like:

    • Bold / Italic / Underline / Strikethrough

    4. Pick a Style

    Use the dropdown to choose:

    • Glitter ✨

    • Pastel Gradient 🌸
    • Solid Color

    5. Customize Colors

    • Add up to 5 colors (for gradients and effects).
    • Additional sliders will appear depending on the style chosen.

    6. Tune Effects (If Available)

    • Adjust sparkle size, blur, angle, shadow offset, opacity, etc.

    7. Switch Background Mode

    Use the ☀️ / 🌙 toggle to change canvas background.

    8. Download Your Image

    Click “Download Image (PNG)” to save your design.

    9. Generate IMVU Code

    1. Upload your PNG to a site like catbox.moe
    2. Paste the direct link
    3. Click “Generate & Copy Code”
    4. Paste it into your IMVU homepage

    10. Save or Load Settings

    • Export your current look as a .json file.
    • Re-import saved settings anytime.
    • Use “Reset” to return to defaults.

    🖋 Tips

    • Text too long? Try reducing font size or using fewer effects.
    • Want a cleaner image? Use Solid or Pastel mode with one or two colors.
    • Add support link? Keep “Support NekyPop!” checked for automatic credit in IMVU HTML.

    • Undo: Ctrl+Z or click the ⬅️ button.

    • Import: Click Import HTML and select a .html or .txt file to load.

    🔐 Safety & Sanitization

    To keep you safe, the app cleans your HTML:

    • Disallowed: <script>, <form>, inline JS, and similar.

    • Video embeds only work from YouTube and Vimeo (via HTTPS).

    💾 Auto-Save

    The editor automatically saves your progress in the browser (via localStorage). Revisit the app later and your last session will still be there.
