- Pick your picture
- Click “Choose Image…” and select any image (a plain grey height-map works best).
- The file name pops up underneath and the preview boxes fill automatically.
- Watch the magic
- Six little panels appear: Original, Normal, Shininess, Displacement, AO, Shadow.
- A live 3-D model shows the effect in real time.
- Tweak each map
- Every panel has sliders or check-boxes: move them and the picture + 3-D view update instantly.
- Example:
Normal → “Strength”, “Smoothing”, “Invert Y”.
Shininess → “Level”, “Contrast”, “Invert Source”.
(Hover the sliders if you forget what they do — tool-tips appear.)
- Play with the 3-D window
- Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom.
- “Plane / Sphere / Cube” swaps the shape.
- “Default • 3-Point • Studio” switches light setups; the top ring slider spins the main light.
- Hit Reset View to centre everything again.
- Grab your textures
- Each map panel owns a Download button for single files.
- Happy with all of them? Smash the green “Download All Maps (.zip)” button and you’ll get every PNG in one zip.
- Save & reuse settings
- Export Settings → stores every slider value in a
.json
file. - Import Settings → reloads that file later so you don’t have to retweak.

Quick tips
- Use small, clean greyscale images for the sharpest normal maps.
- The coloured message bar under the buttons tells you if something went wrong.
- If your normal map looks “inside-out”, tick Invert Green (Y) Channel.
