📘 Guide: How to Use the IMVU Project Organizer
✅ Adding a New Project
- Click the “Add New Project Item” button.
- Fill out your project info:
- Project Name (Required)
- Categories (e.g. Clothing, Hair)
- Budget (in credits)
- Priority (High, Medium, Low)
- Status (Planning, In Progress, Derived, On Hold)
- Notes (for ideas, tasks, reminders)
- Derivables Section
Add your base derivables:- Name (Required)
- Creator Name (Optional)
- Link (Optional)
- Collaborators Section
Great for collab work!- Collaborator Name (Required)
- Assigned Task/Role (Required)
- IMVU Profile Link (Optional)
- Image References
Paste any image URLs (one per line). - Click “Save Project” to store locally.
🔍 Browsing & Sorting Projects
Use the filters at the top to:
- Filter by Category or Status
- Sort by Newest, Priority, Name, or Budget
📤 Exporting, Sharing & Importing
- Export Projects: Save your full project list as a
.json
file. - Import Projects: Load previous data or backups.
- Share as HTML: Generate a pretty, shareable version of your projects to send or post online.
- Clear All: Delete all saved projects (use carefully!).
✏️ Editing, Duplicating, & Deleting
Click any project card to:
- Edit details
- Duplicate for similar projects
- Delete if no longer needed
- View full-size Images and Notes
👥 Collaborator Use
- Perfect for team projects or artist partnerships.
- Track who’s responsible for meshing, texturing, promos, etc.
- Optional profile links allow easy access to each person’s IMVU page.
💾 Where Is Data Saved?
- All info is stored in your browser’s local storage.
- No cloud account required.
- Use Export regularly to keep backups.
